Speakers' Bios

Ali Benmoussa

is the CEO and co-founder at Ticketwood, Inc - a ticket search engine that provides a comprehensive, fast and easy-to-use resource to find tickets to sports, concerts, and theatre events. He is responsible for business strategy, operational execution and product development vision and execution. Ali is also a co-founder at Bnet Technologies, a service provider of quality eCommerce websites, custom web/software applications and e-Business consulting in Morocco. Prior to co-founding Ticketwood, He Held positions in Tenet Healthcare, MedTech and Barry's Tickets Service. Mr. Benmoussa received a BS in Computer Engineering and an MS in Engineering Management from California State University, Northridge. Ali is also the VP of Technology at AMPA - Association of Moroccan Professionals.

Angelika Blendstrup

For over 16 years, Angelika Blendstrup, Ph.D. has leveraged her background to help international business professionals find their voice in Silicon Valley by adopting American business communication practices and by understanding the nuances of working effectively in the U.S. marketplace.

She has moved 34 times across 3 different continents, speaks 5 languages fluently; Angelika has worked with international executives from DreamWorks, Google and Facebook as well as with start-up entrepreneurs from Russia, Brazil and Spain.

Angelika received a Master's from UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. from Stanford University. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tübingen, Germany. She is the Founder and President of Angelika Blendstrup & Associates. www.professional-business-communications.com

In her partnerships with executives and entrepreneurs she coaches: Pitching skills, personal branding, accent reduction, cross-cultural communication, and a variety of other market-demand business communication skills.

In addition, Angelika gives seminars to international MBA students at UCLA's Anderson School of Business and UC Berkeley's HAAS School of Business, and she teaches classes at Stanford University's Continuing Studies.

Bassel Ojjeh

is the co-founder and CEO of nPario, is a data practitioner and evangelist who harnesses the power of data to drive revenue and audience engagement. Ojjeh served as Sr. Vice President of Data Technology and Products at Yahoo after the company acquired his data mining startup, DMX Group. Before that venture, Ojjeh co-founded and served as COO of Audience Science. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with Microsoft in Redmond and was one of the original developers of Fox Software.

Faouzi Chaahoub

Mr. Faouzi Chaahoub has held Engineering and Senior Engineering Management positions at various High Tech companies, Avago Technologies, Intersil, Conexant System, Motorola, and Rockwell. He was most recently the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Quallan/Intersil. Now as senior executive in Avago, He heads the R&D IC team in Fiber Optic Division developing High Speed Optical Networking products for supercomputers and datacenters. He also held technical positions at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems and Motorola Semiconductor. Mr. Chaahoub received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Montpellier in France and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Grenoble, INPG Institute National Polytechnic of Grenoble, France.

Mr. Chaahoub has over 18 years of Analog Mixed Signal and RF Engineering Management experience.

Faouzi Chaahoub technical background and extensive worldwide engineering experience has help develop a wide range of successful consumer products and high-speed Optical-networking products. He also contributes to many IEEE publications as well as international conferences. He holds many patents in field of Analog Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits Design.

Ibrahim Elbouchikhi

Ibrahim is a Product Manager at Google working on Commerce aspects of Android/Google Play. Prior to Google, Ibrahim was a Product Manager at Amazon Instant Video and the Founder of Dig N Swap, www.dignswap.com, an online clothes and accessories bartering platform. Prior to Amazon, Ibrahim was a Senior Consultant at Deloitte where he focused on large scale Product Development and Deployment. Ibrahim founded his first startup, Authentic Morocco, at age 17. Ibrahim has accumulated over 10 years of experience in e-stuff, he hopes to return to founding companies soon. Ibrahim holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from UCLA and an MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Ibrahim enjoys drinking Moroccan tea with friends (seriously, it is a valid hobby :) and traveling!

Ossama Hassanein

is an entrepreneur, mentor, and venture capitalist. Over the last 35 years, he has managed over $1 billion of international technology funds in diverse leadership roles including EVP of Berkeley International in San Francisco, Chairman of Technocom Ventures in Paris, President of Newbridge Networks Holding in Canada, and Chairman of the Rising Tide Fund in Silicon Valley. In the eighties, he led the mezzanine financing of 80+ Silicon Valley based IT companies that became spectacular successes including: Adaptec; Cirrus Logic; Atmel; PMC-Sierra; LSI Logic; Linear Technologies; and Oracle.

Combined market value today exceeds $140 billion. In the last 15 years, he was chairman or co-founder of six leading-edge digital communication startups in the US, UK and France including ACC in Santa Barbara (routers, acquired by Ericsson), Algety in Lannion (soliton transmission, acquired by Corvis), HighDeal inCaen (rating engines, acquired by SAP), Highwave in Bretagne (fiber optic amplifiers, Listed on Euronext), NetCentrex in Paris (VoIP, acquired by Comverse), and nCipher in Cambridge UK (encryption, listed on LSE). Combined market value at exits: $2.2 billion. Currently, he is chairman of BDNA Corp in Mountain View, of Echovox in Geneva, and Zong in Menlo Park, California. He has served on the Board of Advisors of Harvard University Center for Middle Eastern Studies and of UCSF Department of Ophthalmology, School of Medicine in San Francisco. He also served on the Board of Directors of Relief International, a non-profit, focusing his efforts on social entrepreneurship and women development in the Middle-East.

He is currently chairman of the board of the Egyptian American Society and of TechWadi, the largest network of Arab American high technology executives in Silicon Valley. He is a charter member of the C-100, a Silicon- Valley based association dedicated to mentoring and angel financing Canadian entrepreneurs. He is also a member of the Board of PSD, an NGO focused on providing one Netbook per child for up to 280,000 Palestinian children in need of education.

Rachid Salik

is a VP Research & Development at Cadence Design Systems. Rachid is Responsible for three product lines Development and Management: Physical Verification, Extraction and Mask Product with a TAM of $340Millions. He is also Managing a global/International Research & Development operation (Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific and North America) for Cadence. Rachid has Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble and an Executive MBA from Santa Clara University

Yu-kai Chou

is an entrepreneur and regular Speaker/Lecturer on Social Media and Gamification at organizations like Stanford University, Google, Draper Richards Retreat, and the Internet Marketing Conference. He is the Founder/CEO of RewardMe, an In-Store Intelligent CRM and has raised over $1M for the business. RewardMe was listed as AlwaysOn Global 250's "Top 10 Private Companies to Watch" and was a Top 3 Finalist for Best Commercial App in the first LBS Awards along with Groupon.

In the past 6 years, Yu-kai's team has led social media and gamification campaigns for LG, Levi's, Activision, Victoria Secret and other large brands. Yu-kai's previous startup was also rated on Mashable as one of the Top 10 Social Networks for Gen-Ys and he was selected as one of the Top 50 Young Leaders of California to attend Arnold Schwarzenegger's Governor's Global Climate Summit. Yu-kai graduated with a degree in International Economics from UCLA.
